Application Fee Structure

Candidates can pay the application fee through both online and offline modes. The fee varies based on the candidate’s category and the number of papers they choose to appear for.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility for UPTET 2026 is divided into two levels: Primary and Junior. Candidates must meet the specific educational qualifications to apply for the respective level.

Primary Level (Classes I to V)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any stream with a passed/appearing Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 50% marks (or 45% for reserved categories as per NCTE norms) along with a B.Ed degree.
  • 10+2 (Intermediate) with 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

Junior Level (Classes VI to VIII)

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Master’s Degree with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed degree.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a 2-year BTC (Basic Training Certificate) training.
  • 10+2 (Intermediate) with 50% marks and a 4-year B.L.Ed (Bachelor of Education).
  • Bachelor’s Degree/Master’s Degree with 45% marks and a B.Ed degree (as per NCTE norms).

Vacancy Details

While the UPTET notification 2026 focuses on the eligibility test, qualifying in this exam is the first step towards securing a teaching position. How to Apply for UPTET 2026

The application process is entirely online. Candidates are advised to have their scanned documents and personal details ready before starting the registration.

  1. Registration: Visit the official UPTET website and click on the application link. Register by providing your basic details (name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID).
  2. Login: After registration, log in using the generated registration number and password.
  3. Form Filling: Complete the application form with accurate personal, educational, and eligibility details. Carefully select your paper preference (Paper I, Paper II, or Both).
  4. Document Upload: Upload a recent passport-size photograph and signature in the prescribed format and size.
  5. Fee Payment: Proceed to pay the application fee using the available online payment gateway (credit card, debit card, net banking) or through offline challan.
  6. Final Submission: Review all the entered details carefully before clicking the final submit button.
  7. Printout: Download and take a printout of the final submitted application form for future reference.
